Guys, do I have to say it's okay to jump me in threads? Do I really? I don't tend to play Austin for long because it tires me out but Cher likes her friends and meeting new people and I like playing her being spacey or a bitch, too, and as long as you aren't going to try to cut her limbs off or traumatise her horribly, what are you afraid of?
I'm not intimidating, seriously. Anyone who reads my LJ knows I spazz out over tiny popstars and other similarly unintimidating things and I heartmark too much and call everyone baby. I am not scary!
I honestly cannot be bothered keeping track of who does and doesn't want to be jumped as I am too lazy so I will probably jump you if I feel like it.
I can't be bothered filling in your serious polls, either. For the record, I mostly am not particularly into people breaking the fourth wall with Cher, so I'm less likely to want characters to recognise her as that girl from Clueless or Alicia Silverstone, but Austin has no fourth wall and you can have at it with him.
If I am threading with you I am probably also at work and also checking my LJ friendslist, checking my rss reader and reading fanfic. This is part of why I kind of suck, but you love me anyway.
I am quite happy to handwave the time I am not playing as "Cher is 'studying' in the library" or "Cher was going for a walk" or "Cher was doing things too uninteresting to be played out, in a passport scene". If you want, I can play that your character and my character hang all the time and we just never play it because it's so obvs. Just like how we never play out how the sky! Is up above us! Or something.
If you have an issue with me or the way I'm playing you can always talk to me. I can't promise I'll be 100% reasonable or rational but I will try and if I upset you I'll feel bad about it for ages and ages and constantly annoy my friends by talking about how bad I feel about it. Do it for them! Help make sure they are spared my whining!
I can't get on IRC at work, though I sign on to all my chatty accounts with meebo and I'm pretty much always signed into gmail when threading, so I am reachable.
I've dealt with a lot of the play issues I had earlier. Thing is, a lot of the ways I dealt with those have led to me playing less. I do still love playing but it may seem like I don't want to play with you anymore - I assure that that is not the case.
Okay! I feel accomplished. Now back to writing genderswitch fic about silly asian popstars.

I am, in fact, posting this very meme from work. I'm bad. I speak English, but if you type very slowly I can read French. Not fabulously well, but I can read it. The playing experience: Most of the time I respond fairly quickly. I only typed at 84wpm last time I was tested but I try to respond straight away unless whatever browser I'm using at the time is blocking my efforts. I can usually thread for a while. The longest time I've threaded with stops and starts is two weeks and the longest in one sitting is 8 hours, which is not impressive compared to half of you. Anyway, point is that I'm more than willing to thread over days and in and out of weeks if you so desire. I do not mind UST spam in my posts. I do not mind random wtfery in my posts. Jump my threads anytime - if I can't play then I'll respond later without a doubt. Goals: Play with more characters. Play with my tennis boys more. Play with Rinali again someday. Use my phone icons ICly in a post again. Make people understand the beauty of pinstripe. Take over the world. Betaing: I will do it, but I'm uneven at it, often give unhelpful comments like "I don't know, it's just not working for me" and am often the kiss of death for an app. But if you want to ask if you have the voice right for a character I know (I know plenty of canons, just ask) or you want your spelling checked by someone who uses Australian English I'm all for it. I prefer betaing via chatty programs rather than just by email, though. If you're betaing me I apologise profusely. I suck at knowing how to use the criticism and half the time I'll say that I know it flows badly, isn't funny and generally sucks and I just don't know how to fix it. I'm a drama queen so I whine and complain a lot and have the annoying tendency to exaggerate my flaws for comedic effort, only nobody but me finds it funny and usually assume I really am having the bleakest angst over an app. I haven't finished my app my life is woe doom!
